Hi! Did you hear anything about MALL? Of course, yes!

MALL stands for Mobile Assisted Language Learning. It is language learning that is assisted  through the increased use of mobile technologies such as mobile phones, MP3 and MP4 players, PDAs and devices such as the iPhone or iPad
With MALL, students are able to access language learning materials and to communicate with their teachers and other students at any time, anywhere.

There are the main principles of MALL:
1) Portability; 2) Social interactivity; 3) Context sensitivity; 4) Connectivity; 5) Individuality.

Also I'd like to say a few words about QR (quick response) codesQR codes have become common in consumer advertising. Typically, a smartphone is used as a QR code scanner, displaying the code and converting it to some useful form.

We can use QR codes
for educational purposes. For example,
students may check their answers by scanning the QR code after completing a test. And a teacher can also see how students are doing.

There are a lot of useful websites, like Quizlet, to learn second language, f. i. German. Quizlet trains students via flashcards and various games and tests.

It a great thing to use
AUGMENTED REALITY in education.

Definition
An enhanced version of reality where live direct or indirect views of physical real-world environments are augmented with computer-generated images over a user's view of the real-world, thus enhancing one’s current perception of reality.

Objective
To bring computer generated objects into the real world, which only the user can see.

So, you don't need to use computer or TV set to watch videos for educational purposes. You just need your mobile phone. It is much easier to work with AUGMENTED REALITY.
